The Premier League champions have something to prove again as they chase a legacy. This Arsenal team, led by Arteta, wants to achieve a double: win the league and the Champions League.

Now that Pep is gone, Arteta feels this is the time to start a new era, and he believes this team can achieve that goal.

Although in the latter stages of the league last season, Arsenal was not playing well, some of the performances were poor, and they struggled to get to the finishing line, but they did because the rest of the teams around them were poor.

Manchester City allowed Arsenal to win the race, and Arteta and his team took the opportunity to reach the finish line.

Arsenal winning the league again is automatic because they won last season. However, their squad is not as strong as it was last season.

Their defence will be weak now that Saliba is having back surgery and could be out for a long time.

The right-back and left-back positions are questionable: Hincapie is good, but he has a lot of weaknesses in his game, and Timber cannot stay fit.

Arteta has struggled to find a position for Eze, and it will be the same this season as Odegaard will play in the number ten role.

The midfield is a battleground for Arsenal due to the way they back; however, Zubimendi has not featured in many games since he signed for Arsenal, and this upcoming season will be the same.

Many fans have questioned Arteta’s style of play, and he cannot rely on set pieces as the Premier League has changed the rules, especially for corner kicks.

Losing out on Vinicius Junior and Morgan Rogers this summer shows Arsenal doesn’t have the pulling power their fans thought it would.

If Arsenal don’t sign two big players before the transfer window closes and if they don’t start well at the start of the season, then Arsenal will not retain their title.
